Breakthrough

I finally had a break through last week and I have Flash, php and Java talking to each other after weeks of trying to figure it out. So now intproability, my xml gallery and my uploader finished and ready to go. Finally I am on track with my project.

Forum

I have finally finished creating my forum. I developed it with PHPBB and MySQL(WAMP) . I then did the front design in photoshop. The forum will be used by users to discuss ideas and to help new users.

Prototype

Had prototype presentation yesterday it went ok. They seemed to like what I had done but that I had plenty more to do still.

I was told my content may not be enough so I have decided to add a forum to my website.

I finally have all my videos editted. I do not have all the footage that I wanted because an actor let me down at the very last minute so I had to make some very quick changes to my scripts. This was a bit annoying. But the show must go on!

Filming...

Iam curently filming the short stories for my fyp. I spent the week working on scripts, story boards and organising actors and suitable locations. I am an actor short so alot of quick changes are being made.

I am also working on my designs for my presentation next week.

Full Story

The concept to the story is :-
New Reality TV show called : Race For Survival

The Idea : 3 contestants 20 million up for grab's only 2 winner's

The Catch: 1 of the contestants is a serial killer but which one???

Whats going on: With the advances in computer technology we can now put our minds in to computers and change bodies :)

The game: The killers memory is sealed for 30 days at which point He/She will remember everything.

Within those 30 days the contestants have to make it to a new location with the help of hints left in the starting area doing so will keep the killers memory sealed.

How to win : Simple just make it to the new localtion in 30 days this is to be repeated till they make it the judge who is waiting with the money.

What happens to the Killer : Should he remember who He/She is the game is over and the Killer is taken off death row. Should the Contestants win the money the Killer is to be Exicuted.

Getting there !!!

Well ive my flash player working and the database done up finally. Still think iam way behind where i want to be the nest step is to get the as3 talking with java or servlet go it can call the videos dynamicly.

Other then that whats left to do :

Design

Big Problems:
Can get a FMS (Flash Media Server) so this means that my videos will have to be .flv
but on the bright side if I did have one I have the code ready to go :)
